Our Story
In 2001, our owner separated from the military with nearly 9-1/2 years of service and relocated 400 miles away to begin a career in the civilian construction industry. He had a solid welding background and experience with quality assurance and quality control that proved to serve him well in years to come. After serving in the role of Quality Director for several construction companies in both the nuclear and non-nuclear industries, he saw the need to help other companies develop an effective and practical Quality Program. This began our company, Lehman Industries, LC, in 2011.

About Richard
In 1992, Richard began his career in construction trades in the United States Navy. Throughout nearly 9-1/2 years, he gained a vast amount of training and experience in all aspects of welding, brazing, and Quality Assurance / Quality Control.
Just prior to separating from active duty, Richard obtained an AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification. He held that certification for 9 years, and immediately acquired an AWS Senior Certified Welding Inspector certification. Four years later, he added an AWS Certified Radiographic Interpreter certification.
He has qualified and generated hundreds of Welding Procedure Specifications for both AWS and ASME requirements during his more than 27 years within the power generation, pressure vessel, process piping, and industrial construction industry. He has also written and implemented several Written Practice programs for training / qualifying NDE Technicians. He has also written and implemented several complete Quality programs meeting ASME and National Board requirements for both Nuclear and Non-Nuclear work. Previously, Richard served as Quality Director for several industrial construction companies where he was responsible for Quality program implementation, Code compliance of activities, and directly managed each company’s Project Quality Managers.
With more than 27 years of welding, nondestructive examination, and quality control expertise, his leadership and executive management skills are leading our company.
